RCAF Aircraft Serial Numbers Database

The aircraft serials database is collection of serial numbers of aircraft owned and flown by the Canadian Air Force. This database does not include aircraft owned by the RAF but operated by the RCAF during World War II. The database contains the aircraft serial number, aircraft name and mark, squadrons the aircraft was used by, aircraft photograph(s) and other notes about the particular aircraft. The database can be searched in various ways. You can search for a specific serial number, by using the "Search Serials" search, you can search by the aircraft name or Canadian registration number (ie/ CF-116) by using the "Search Aircraft" search, and by using the "Search All" search you can perform a boolean search with multiple search criteria. (Hornet 425 Squadron, this would give a result of all the Hornets flown by No. 425 Squadron).

YOUR ASSISTANCE IS REQUESTED

The database contains over 25,000 serial numbers. Personally I could never come up with pictures and information for even a fraction of these serials. This is where I am looking for help. If you have log book entries or photographs of Canadian Air Force aircraft please use the form below and send us any information you may have about an individual aircraft. This information will then be incorporated into the database for others to benefit from.
